About the Lyndhurst Township Community Page |
|
|
| |
Watch local
meetings and special events from your Internet
connection.
The community page is partnered with
Civic
Stream
and affords citizens with a great opportunity to
stay abreast of what's happening in your
community. Regardless of where you may be, i.e.
traveling on business, tied up in an important
meeting, etc, you don’t have to miss out on the
goings on within your community. Community
events are either audio or video streamed and
archived for you to listen to at your
convenience.
Our mission is to work hand-and-hand with your
community to create a more informed public. To
accomplish this mission, we internally produce,
host, broadcast, stream, distribute and acquire,
quality programming instantaneously delivered
and made available to “YOU” over the Internet.
Perhaps your busy schedule is such that you
simply don’t have the time to keep up to date on
local events within your community and
surrounding areas. the community page affords
citizens who may be otherwise unable to attend
local events to do so from anywhere in the
world.
The launch of the community page puts you in
control of your viewing and listening, allowing
you to log onto the Internet at your convenience
– exposing you to local events and information
that you otherwise may not have been aware of or
had the time to attend a meeting or event.
Some featured items will be a Welcoming message
from the Mayor – Richard J. DiLascio, and
ongoing updates from our Commissioners on
matters pertaining to Revenue and Finance
(Joseph Abruscato), Parks and Recreaction
(Thomas DiMaggio), Public Safety (Robert B.
Giangeruso), and Public Works (Brian C.
Haggerty.)
Lyndhurst welcomes back their very own news
anchor, Gary Martin who reports on
local news. In
addition to Gary, local reporters and cameramen
will be “out and about” within the community
capturing breaking information about local
businesses, high school sports, community
initiatives and upcoming community events.
